Description:

Presentation of wine of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, 'Wine Festival' will be held on 2nd February from 10.00 to 17.00. This festivity continues promotional activities aimed at increasing the consumption of indigenous wines of Dubrovnik-Neretva county in the domestic and foreign markets.

 

The day before, on 1st February, the workshop 'Pairing of indigenous dishes and homemade wines' will be organized in the hotel 'More' 11:00-13:00.

 

The workshop involves young Dubrovnik chefs who will prepare a variety of dishes from Dubrovnik gastronomic heritage.

Somelierrs will present wines, led by the most famous Somelierri couple in Croatian - Karin and Emil Perdec.

 

Development of wine tourism and gastronomic offer with wine in central role, is extremely important for Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

 

Thus, within the 'Wine Festival' experts will evaluate:

 

- Design of wine Packages 2012 (bottles & labels) in order to improve product quality through the use of design as an added value to successfully compete in domestic and foreign markets,

- The Most Creative wine card - graphic design, representation of local indigenous varieties, design, etc. - in the hotels and restaurants category.

 

The awarding ceremony takes place on 2nd February at 14.00 as part of the 'Wine Festival' in the restaurant 'Arsenal'.
