It's Time for the Night of Museums 2012 in Dubrovnik, Croatia

For the sixth year in a row, last Friday in January is scheduled for the Night of Museums. In organization of Dubrovnik Museums, it is held at four city locations: in the Rector's Palace, St. John and Revelin fortrs and Rupe granary.

This year's Museum Night will be held on Friday 27th January, between 18:00 and 1:00.

Dubrovnik museums prepared a rich program composed of a multitude of interesting lectures, presentations, meetings, workshops and entertainment, as well as occasional discounts, and worship and is intended for citizens of all ages.

Night of the Museums - Friday, 27th January

Fort Revelin
18:00 to 20:00 - Workshop for Children "Bells and cannons," as part of the project "Dubrovnik for kids"
21:00 Presentation of the Encyclopedia of the 18th century, in collaboration with the Research Library in Dubrovnik

Rupe granary
19:00 - Lecture and presentation of traditional textiles and clothing in the Dubrovnik area, with the performances of cultural associations and occasional reception
21:00 and 22:00 - tours through the permanent exhibition

Ducal Palace
18:00 - tours through the permanent exhibition
19:00 - Socialising with Duke
19:30 - Klapa Subrenum
21:00 - Socialising with Duke
20.00 - Lecture on St. Blaise Festivity throughout history
22:00 - Lecture 'Pipes and the beginnings of smoking in Dubrovnik'
23:00 Lecture on the topic of war with a Power Point presentation of photos from the collection

18:00 Workshop and a playroom "Pirate Night" for small children
20:00 and 21:00 tours through the permanent exhibition
22:30 Lecture "Symbolism of Masons"
