Description:
Most of the drinking in Dubrovnik takes place outdoors for much of the year. Most of the area behind the Cathedral, Buniceva poljana, becomes one big outdoor bar in the spring and summer. The locals tend to hang out in the area between the The nightlife in Dubrovnik is mainly in the Old Town. The town does not have that many nightclubs and the Stradun seems to be the place to be at night.Hemingway (Pred Dvoram) is a cocktail bar with comfy chairs facing the pedestrian street and 30-page cocktail menu.
Troubadur Jazz cafe (Buniceva poljana 2, near Gundulic square), open until late in the night. It is a friendly and relaxed place where you can toss back a brew and soak up a unique ambiance. The owner, pirate-looking Marko, is a jazz musician and makes sure his passion is fulfilled every night. Marko was also performing on Eurovision Song Contest, back in 1968.
D'Vino wine bar. They have put together a very impressive selection of domestic and imported wine available by the glass, bottle, and in tasting servings. With over 100, D'Vino has the largest selection of wine available by the glass in Dubrovnik.
Night Club Revelin
This club in the Revelin Fortress at the wall attracts a younger crowd and it's always packed. Revelin's location in the 16th century fortress affords views of the old harbor and even the sunrise if you stay that long. There is a terrace where you can catch a breather from the always-jammed dance floor.
Capitano
Deejay dance music is the norm at this sprawling bar near the Pile Gate, but occasionally a live band comes to jam. Capitano seems to lure a mostly young and restless crowd, as everyone in the place seems to be on the prowl.
Casablanca
The decor and size of this popular bar almost makes it seem sedate, but Casablanca can rock. There is a big TV screen playing everything from soccer reruns to music videos; drinks range from straight up to complicated, and DJs spin a good mix of music.
Latino Club Fuego
For a disco experience, try Latino Club Fuego outside the Pile Gate. Don't expect nonstop salsa here despite the name: There is nothing vaguely Latino about this club, but it's a popular after-hours spot just the same.
Golden Sun Casino
Newly opened in spring 2008, this casino located in the recently renovated hotel Libertas promises to raise the stakes for gambling establishments in Croatia. Texas hold'em, Caribbean poker, American roulette, black jack, punto banco, slot machines, and other innovative ways to spend an evening.
Lazareti
Lazareti is another late night dance spot where you can flail your arms and dance until the early morning birds start to sing.Look out for posters around town advertising international and local djs spinning techno and electronica.
Eastwest Beach Club
Superbly located right on the beach just outside the old town, Eastwest Beach club attracts those who want to see and be seen.
The new Factory Club is open all year, unlike the other clubs, and will offer an eclectic, changing program of local and guest DJs.
